The new podcast series, Hudlægens bord, explores skin health and skin diseases, topics that concern many people. Over 12 episodes, the podcast delves into skin-related topics such as skin color, hereditary hair loss, sun protection, and skin aging, with insights from researchers and experienced dermatologists.
The podcast is in Danish and serves both as a listener Q&A platform and a scientific resource. Iben Marie Miller emphasizes the goal of making complex skin research understandable and accessible for all audiences, including professionals, patients, and curious individuals. The podcast also aims to help listeners critically assess online information about skin health.
Iben Marie Miller, a PhD and dermatologist, believes effective science communication is essential. She highlights the importance of presenting detailed scientific information in an engaging and easy-to-understand way while addressing myths and misinformation about skin health.
The podcast was developed with support from the LEO Foundation’s Education and Awareness program and created in collaboration with Videnskab.dk’s editorial team and a medical panel of dermatologists and skin researchers.
The first episode, The Dermatologist’s Acne Guide, is now available on podcast platforms, with new episodes released every Friday for the next 11 weeks.
