The LEO Foundation is bringing its previous three annual Research Grants rounds together in one annual international call, welcoming applications from skin researchers worldwide. The call opens on 1 October 2026.
Research Grants are the LEO Foundation’s open competition grants for excellent skin research. Through the program, the Foundation supports independent research projects that can generate new knowledge about the skin and its diseases.
Going forward, the previous three annual application rounds will be combined into one international Research Grants call, which will continue to be open to researchers from institutions worldwide. The change concerns the structure and timing of the application rounds, while the international scope of the program remains unchanged.
The international Research Grants call opens on 1 October 2026, with an application deadline of 23 November 2026. Application guidelines and further information about how to apply are now available on the LEO Foundation’s website.
New European Research Grants call in 2027
In addition, the LEO Foundation will introduce a new Research Grants call for researchers based at European research institutions in 2027.
The European call will open on 10 June 2027, with an application deadline of 30 July 2027.
Further details about the European Research Grants call, including its scope, eligibility and application requirements, will be announced ahead of the call opening.
