The LEO Foundation has appointed Henriette Mersebach to its Board of Trustees. She brings more than 20 years of international experience in research, development, and innovation across the pharmaceutical and life science industry.

Most recently, Henriette Mersebach served as Executive Vice President, Research & Development at ALK, where she led the company’s R&D activities. In this role she helped advance the development of new treatments for children with allergies, strengthen research and innovation capabilities, and establish new strategic partnerships and innovation initiatives.

Prior to joining ALK, Henriette Mersebach held several senior leadership positions at Novo Nordisk, including Corporate Project Vice President for Rare Disease & Advanced Therapies and Executive Director, Clinical Development & Research in the US.

Henriette Mersebach holds a medical degree and a PhD in Medicine from the University of Copenhagen.
