Photo: Mathias Kindsholm<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>30 June 2025<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This round\u2019s grantees demonstrate the diversity of approaches to science engagement \u2013 from podcasting and television to music and science camps.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In its latest round of Education and Awareness Grants, the LEO Foundation has awarded a total of DKK 6.3 million (EUR 848,000) to five ambitious projects that aim to spark interest in science and strengthen scientific literacy across generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rakkerpak.nu\/\">Rakkerpak Productions<\/a>, in collaboration with Science Report, will produce a podcast series portraying 125 Nobel Prize laureates, highlighting both the research and the personal stories behind some of the world\u2019s most influential scientific discoveries. The podcast episodes will be freely available on various established podcast platforms for everyone to listen to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/magusfilm.com\/dk\/frontside\/\">Magus Film<\/a> will complete a six-part documentary TV series that explores Denmark\u2019s position in the global AI landscape, centered around the work of Professor Serge Belongie and the Pioneer Centre for Artificial Intelligence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/radionauterne.dk\/\">Radionauterne <\/a>will expand their <em>Mininaut <\/em>universe with a music album for preschoolers (3 to 6-year-olds), making science more accessible and memorable through original songs designed for the youngest audience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.matematikcenter.dk\/\">Matematikcenter<\/a> will continuously provide free math caf\u00e9s, both physical and online, and a digital platform with tools, guides, video tutorials, etc., helping students and adults alike strengthen their mathematical understanding \u2013 a crucial pillar of STEM education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biotechacademy.dk\/\">Biotech Academy<\/a> has received funding to continue its successful science camps for high school students over the next three years. The camps combine theory, lab work, and company visits to inspire the next generation of life science professionals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTogether, these five projects represent innovative ways to engage diverse audiences in the importance of research and foster a deeper appreciation of science \u2013 from early childhood to adulthood \u2013 and we are proud to support such inspiring projects,\u201d says Anne-Marie Engel, Chief Scientific Officer at the LEO Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of the LEO Foundation Education and Awareness Grants is to strengthen the pipeline of future researchers within the fields of medicine, chemistry, and pharmacy, and to raise awareness about science, including skin and skin diseases.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three yearly calls.
