Eva Benfeldt has joined as Senior Scientific Officer, while Eva Bang-Hansen is new Scientific Management Assistant. Both started at the Foundation on 1 September.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The overarching goal of the LEO Foundation is to improve the lives of people with skin diseases. The Foundation has ambitious philanthropic goals and plans to double its grants to around DKK 500 million annually by 2030. To support this development, the grant team is being expanded with new skills and expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eva Benfeldt <\/strong>joins as Senior Scientific Officer, bringing extensive expertise in both clinical and experimental research in skin and skin diseases. She will be responsible for coordinating the LEO Foundation&#8217;s grants, including managing both the scientific and administrative aspects. Eva will also work on further developing the Foundation&#8217;s grant strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With many years of experience as a consultant dermatologist at Gentofte Hospital and Roskilde Hospital, along with a relevant research career, Eva is a force in her field. She has previously worked as Head of Research at Gentofte Hospital and in the Zealand Region, where she was responsible for grant allocations, research support, development of research strategies, and dissemination of research results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eva is a medical specialist in dermatology (MD) and holds a PhD in medicine from the University of Copenhagen. Additionally, she has a Master of Public Governance from CBS (Copenhagen Business School) and the University of Copenhagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eva Bang-Hansen<\/strong> has been appointed Scientific Management Assistant and will handle a broad range of administrative tasks. She will be responsible for ongoing communication with current grantees and potential applicants, as well as overseeing the development and administration of the Foundation\u2019s grant application systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eva has previously worked with research dissemination, project management, management consultancy and administration at the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters and has subsequently held positions where she has planned international scientific conferences and been responsible for community building in Denmark&#8217;s largest entrepreneurial environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eva holds a master\u2019s degree in business, language, and culture (cand.ling.merc.) in English from Copenhagen Business School (CBS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe are pleased to welcome Eva Benfeldt and Eva Bang-Hansen to our grant team.
