To learn more about the latest accomplishments on skin and inflammatory skin diseases, the LEO Foundation’s scientific team has just attended the international meeting ‘Inflammatory Skin Disease Summit’ in Vienna, Austria.
The meeting brought together an impressive audience of more than 600 researchers including global KOLs within skin and inflammatory skin diseases.
The topics focused on immunology of the skin and especially the key roles played by a multitude of different immune cells – not least T-cells. The latter was reflected in the rapidly growing number of novel skin disease treatments based on T-cell targeting biological therapeutics, many of which were presented at the summit. These are also topics of special interests for the LEO Foundation.
The meeting in Vienna also provided a unique platform for the LEO Foundation scientific team for small ‘meet & greet’ meetings – and a lot of new contacts were made.
